Auditions: The Fantasticks

On Saturday 01/30/10, Hat Trick will be holding auditions for various roles in its upcoming production of The Fantasticks, all positions paid.

Auditions are by appointment only! Please read fully for important details.

Where: Auditions will be held at our new performance space, the Eleanor Dempsey Performing Arts Center
13651 Hays Rd.
Hudson, FL 34610

When: Saturday, January 30th, 2010 from 2:00pm - 5:30pm. Specific times to be assigned by appointment. To sign up for a slot, please contact us at hatTrick.audition@gmail.com.

Payment: All actors will be guaranteed a stipend to be discussed upon offer of role.

Who: Looking for men and women between the ages of 18 and 65.

We are auditioning for the following roles:

El Gallo (male baritone between the ages 18-45)
Matt (male tenor/high baritone between the ages of 18-25)
Hucklebee (male or female, flexible range, ages 30-65)
Bellomy (male or female, flexible range, ages 30-65)
Henry (male, non-singing, ages 40-65)
The Mute (male or female, non-speaking, ages 18-65)

Actors should prepare the following:
All actors auditioning for singing roles will sing the same 8-16 bars from each of the specific roles they are auditioning for. Actors should come prepared with familiarity of their song (listed below). They will be provided with sheet music at the audition and an accompanist for the 8-16 bars of music will be provided.

El Gallo(baritone) 8-16 bars from "Try To Remember"
Matt (tenor/high-baritone) 8-16 bars Metaphor, 8-16 bars "I Can See It"
Hucklebee (baritone) 8-16 bars "Never Say No"
Bellomy (tenor/lyric-baritone) 8-16 bars "Never Say No"

All actors should also prepare 30 seconds of contemporary text and come dressed to move.
